We don't start with the design — we start with the raw material and where it comes from. The wool we use comes from farms certified to the RWS standard, where mulesing is prohibited and sheep welfare is a priority.

We respect the raw material
Wool is more than just a raw material to us. That's why we plan production carefully, limit overproduction and strive towards a closed-loop system.
Merino wool is significantly finer than traditional sheep's wool, which means that most people can wear it directly against the skin. How soft and comfortable wool feels depends primarily on the thickness of the fibre, measured in microns.
Merino is known for its fine, flexible fibres — usually ranging from 15 to 24 microns. By comparison, traditional sheep's wool can have much thicker fibres, sometimes exceeding 40 microns. The fewer the microns, the finer and softer the fibre, allowing it to bend more easily against the skin rather than irritating it. Fibres below 20 microns are particularly valued for their softness and lack of the typical itchy feeling.
Our merino wool is usually 19.5 microns, which makes it soft, gentle and very comfortable to wear. You can find the fibre thickness information on each product page.
We make every effort to reproduce colours as accurately as possible in our photos. In particular, pay attention to the flat-lay and studio photographs. However, the actual shade may vary slightly depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions. If you're unsure, get in touch with us — we'll be happy to help you choose.
Our colour names are standardised. If two products have the same colour name, it means they are made from yarn in the same shade. You can confidently combine them.
Pilling is a natural part of wearing knitted wool garments. It happens when loose fibres and surface hairs form small balls as a result of friction.
How quickly a product starts to pill depends primarily on the type of yarn, the length of the fibres on the surface of the knit and how the garment is worn. Areas exposed to the most friction are particularly prone to pilling, including the sides, underarms, cuffs and areas that come into contact with a bag or backpack. If pilling occurs, simply remove the pills regularly with a fabric shaver. After a few gentle treatments, the surface of the knit will usually stabilise.
You can find detailed information about pilling resistance in the description of each product. The least prone to pilling are products made from classic wool without surface fibres. The longer the surface fibres, the more prone the knit is to pilling.
Merino wool does not need to be washed frequently. In most cases, airing the garment is enough, as wool naturally helps prevent unpleasant odours from developing.
If your product does need washing, always check the care label — it will tell you whether the garment can be machine washed or should only be washed by hand. Use lukewarm water, at a maximum of 30°C, and a gentle detergent designed for wool. Do not tumble dry. After washing, lay the garment flat and leave it to dry.
Our products usually come in two or three sizes. This is a conscious choice — we design our garments to have versatile cuts that fit and flatter a range of body shapes. This also helps us reduce overproduction.

Yes, most people can wear merino wool directly against their skin. Its fibres are finer and more flexible than those of traditional, coarser wool, which means they don't create the typical itchy feeling.
However, it's worth remembering that how a material feels is an individual experience. If you have very sensitive skin, start by wearing the garment for a shorter period and see how your skin responds to the particular product.
Mulesing is a practice used on some sheep farms that involves removing sections of skin around a lamb's tail, usually to reduce the risk of flystrike. It is a painful and controversial procedure from an animal welfare perspective.
Mulesing-free means that the wool comes from farms that do not use this practice. In the case of our wool, the absence of mulesing and harmful animal welfare practices is verified by the RWS certification — the Responsible Wool Standard. This independent standard monitors sheep welfare, land management practices and the traceability of certified wool throughout the entire production chain.
